THIS IS THE PAGE WHERE WE WILL BE POSTING ALL COMPANY REHEARSALS AND CHOREOGRAPHY TIMES. PLEASE CHECK THIS PAGE THE DAY OF REHEARSALS TO BE SURE THERE ARE NO CHANGES. ANY CHANGES WILL BE POSTED IN RED.

OTHER BASIC IMPORTANT INFORMATION
There are 2 Companies this year:
1. Reach Company, 6 dancers: Ethan, Cassidy, Elizabeth, Lauren, Kaitlyn, Lexi
2. CC (Contemporary Company), 21 dancers: Leeeah, Kaleah, Sydney, Mary, Lindsey, Karina, Sarah, Gigi, Abbie, Rachel, Heather, Micayla, Brittany, Melanie, Maggie
Noelle, Alexa, Jordan, Kendall, K.J., Julianna
List of already choreographed dance titles:
Corina's full Company dance with all CC (Contemporary Company) and Reach, 27 members, is called "Shake it Out" (will be abbreviated to SIO)
Corina's small group (7 dancers) dance "Set Fire to the Third Bar" (will be abbreviated to SFTB)
Lisa's dance with selected CC dancers (13 dancers) is called "DRUMS AND JAZZ"
Chelsea's dance (11 dancers) is not yet titled so we will just refer to it as "Chelsea's dance" for now.
Lisa's dance for 6 Reach Company members is titled "Enigma". (Note: this dance will not be performed in Showcase but will be entered in DEA Competition)
List of new dances not yet choreographed, the dancers in them, and the choreographer:
Tasha's dance is not yet titled so we wil refer to it as "Tasha's dance " for now. Those 6 dancers are: Mary, Abbie, Rachael, Noelle, Jordan, Julianna
Denise's dance (Denise is a choreographer from Arvada Arts Center who will be choreographing a dance for 4 dancers) to the music "Let it Be". The 4 dancers will be: K.J, Micayla, Kendall, and Alexa.
Ms Kim will be choreographing a dance for the following 12 dancers:
Leeah, Kaleah, Gigi, Micayla, Julianna, Heather, Sarah, K.J., Alexa, Lindsey, Sydney, Kendall, Karina
The above dances leave Reach Company members with 2 dances for this season, and Contemporary Company members with either 3 or 4 dances for the season. For those with 3 dances financial adjustments will be made. If you have any questions about this please let Kim or Ginny know.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
It is a very full schedule for this year and as we progress and see how the dances are coming along we will tweak this schedule and we may be able to ease up on some of the rehearsals as well. We will try to let you know as far in advance as possible if we are making any changes. It is a process and we cannot know now what we will exactly need and what will work easily and what might be sticky and difficult, so please understand that we will do the best we can to make sure our dancers are prepared but not exhausted! This schedule is most likely not going to end up being as intensive as it is now, but I wanted to put it in place so if we need this much time we will have it. It is very important to get your dancer to these rehearsals. You have invested time and money, the dancers have invested themselves, and the choreographers have also invested their creativity and time. Everyone wants the same thing, and that is for the dancers to do their best and feel positive about the experience. These rehearsals are not set up to create havoc in your family life, they are set up to help the dancers succeed and to honor the commitment that everyone is making! We are assuming that if dancers are in Company that, at least for this year, dance is their "thing" and they want to set aside the time and commitment that Company involves. We figure if they're going to do it then why not do it fully and give it your best, so we set up a schedule to support that. The reality of a dance that is going to be judged at a competition is the same as a team sport: "you are only as strong as your weakest player", and this is why when a dancer misses a rehearsal they not only hurt themselves, but they hurt the entire dance and all the other dancers in that dance, since they are all in it together. In the competition setting this becomes really important since all the dancers will be judged as one dance.
If a dancer is not able to attend a rehearsal please let us know right away so we can plan accordingly. If a dancer misses too many rehearsals of any one dance then we may have to replace them, and for that reason we will be assigning understudies for our dances this year. Hopefully that will not be a problem, but unforeseen circumstances do happen.
